Period Pouches for BNP
“Bloody Normal Period” is a passion project by Nina Kleiner, created to normalize conversations around menstruation, empower women, and break long-held taboos. Nina approached me to help develop a product that was both practical and symbolic: stylish period pouches that could carry menstrual products openly and proudly.

The designs printed onto the pouches celebrate periods, menstruation and the female body – all the while remaining stylish enough to leave on a table or carry in a bag without hesitation. Each pouch functions as a useful statement piece that subtly challenges the stigma around periods.
I began by developing a series of hand-painted illustrations, exploring different styles and visual interpretations of the uterus and menstruation. After reviewing several concepts, we decided on two final designs: Abstract & Deconstruction. I prepared both illustrations for screen printing with careful attention to scale, clarity, and color accuracy to ensure strong visual impact when printed on fabric.
The result was a limited run of 600 pouches for the product launch. These pouches carry both products, a message and make space for open conversations about periods in a stylish, thoughtful, and unapologetic way.
